” I am a former school principal. My colleagues and I started Kutlwanong because we wanted to make a difference, we wanted to improve the lives of children on our doorstep. We are a group of passionate Maths and Science teachers working to ensure that our black learners feature prominantly as the next generation of STEM professionals. “

Where we work
Our programmes are active in 8 of our provinces nationally. We have a strong team of educators, curriculum and assistance staff on the ground that run our programmes in person.
We are committed to accelerating the quality and quantity of Mathematics and Physical Science performance amongst township and rural youth across South Africa.
We have contributed to a talent pool of young black professionals pursuing a tertiary education and entering professional careers across Mining, Engineering, IT, Mathematics, Science and Commerce.
Our programmes are aligned to local and global development priorities from poverty alleviation and reducing inequalities to access to quality education and decent work opportunities.
Our Programmes respond to the United Nations Sustaimable Development Goals of No Poverty; Creating conditions for a Quality Education and Decent Work and Economic Growth as well as Reduced Inequalities.
We adhere to the National Priorities as set by the South African Government in the NDP 2030, of supporting the Creation of 1 Million New Jobs and enabling access to a Quality Education for All.
Our alumni are captains of industry and top professionals in their respective fields. We have grown and nurtured a black talent pool of professionals to serve the job market.
