About Us

Kutlwanong, Centre for Maths Science and Technology, founded in 2005, is a South African based NGO committed to advancing high school STEM performance.

Be the leader in the provision of High School Maths and Science support programmes

Mission

To improve grade 12 Maths and Science results of black learners nationally to enable them to pursue careers in Commerce and Science related fields

From Our CEO

” I am a  former school principal. My colleagues and I started Kutlwanong because we wanted to make a difference, we wanted to improve the lives of children on our doorstep. We are a group of passionate Maths and Science teachers working to ensure that our black learners feature prominantly as the next generation of STEM professionals. “

Where we work

National Footprint

Our programmes are active in 8 of our provinces nationally. We have a strong team of educators, curriculum and assistance staff on the ground that run our programmes in person. 

We are committed to accelerating the quality and quantity of Mathematics and Physical Science performance amongst township and rural youth across South Africa.   

We have contributed to a talent pool of young black professionals pursuing a tertiary education and entering professional careers across Mining, Engineering, IT, Mathematics, Science and Commerce.
